We carry out Building Surveys* of Residential, Commercial and Institutional Buildings in London and throughout the South-East.
These are useful
in the following situations:
- before purchasing, leasing or renting a property;
- where a valuation survey has detected structural problems and more detailed advice is needed;
- where alterations to a building are being considered (an Investigation Prior to Alteration)*
- where a claim against insurance is being considered because of suspected structural damage (a Specialist Investigation)*;
- where a dispute has arisen between parties each having an interest in the property and where an expert independent opinion is needed.

Our inspections are carried out and our reports are written by Chartered
Structural Engineers. We concentrate on the structural load-bearing elements of a building
and appraise them for signs of damage and deterioration. We use our experience
to advise our clients about the seriousness of any defects found, and we
recommend remedies. We warn when defects found are likely to be expensive
to put right.
|
|
|
We provide reports written individually about the property. We aim for
straightforward language and we try to avoid jargon.
|
A Specialist Investigation of a domestic property: investigation of defective foundations where underpinning
had failed to cure continuing structural movement.
|
|
We inspect:
- Residential Properties
- Schools
- Hotels, Pubs and Restaurants
- Shop premises
- Factories and Light Industrial Buildings
- Offices
- Leased and Rented Accommodation

We aim to provide a fast and responsive service. For residential properties
in London, we aim to deliver a written report to our clients within 24 hours of our
inspection of the property. For other types of building, buildings outside London or larger
commercial properties, we will agree a timescale for completion
of our report.
